1. Why are regular elders meetings important?
There is an inherent accountability that comes from regular meetings. Regular meetings are crucial for maintaining a certain level of pastoral care.
2. Why are job descriptions and reviews important?
They add a layer of personal responsibility. "If everyone is responsible, no one is responsible."
3. Explain why intentional fellowship is important.
An eldership can be a miserable place of distrust. Fellowship helps grow trust and care for one another.

Discuss It

  1. How would you rate your eldership on follow-through? What things could you do, as an eldership to change?
  2. How would you rate your eldership at it relates to fellowship and camaraderie?
  3. What things could you do to help foster relationship and trust among the eldership?

Apply It

  1. Plan out how you can personally promote better fellowship among the eldership.
  2. Discuss this content during an elder meeting and together, decide on specific changes.
